One way trip to Oblivion

D&D Concerning Continued Play

This address our issue of being able to finish our campaign before Summer’s end. I have taken both looks at the links that Andrew has posted and sadly, neither GlitterComm nor Masterplan will run on Mac. Masterplan is an .exe file, which my system [Mac OSX] cannot run. GlitterComm, however requires Windows, which is quite unfortunate. This being known, our options are quite limited. Here our options atm.

  • We punch forward weekly to lvl 20 and end there.
  • I attempt to scrounge up the money to purchase Windows for Mac. (Op. Systems can run on any type of computer, for anyone who did not know.) This would be the least favorable option for me for personal expense reasons.
  • We can wait for WOTC to release the Virtual Table, as it will be able to run on Macs, from what I’ve been told. This, however, would require a bit of waiting, as the release of the VT is unknown.
  • We find programs that will work on Mac. (Good luck, Programming God hates Mac users!
  • Though it pains me to say it, I am willing to leave the group. I would still come here for updates and possibly participate in RolePlay, but as far as actual game play would go, I would not be able to participate. I completely understand if this solution is reached, and I will not hold it against any of you. It is for the good of the group and I’d rather you not let me bring this down.

With this said, I will let you guys decide how to go about this. If anyone finds programs similar to GC and MP that will work on a Mac, let me know ASAP. Happy Hunting!

I’m not picky with what we do but here is something to keep in mind: our main priority is not “Finishing the campaign” in any specific way, its insuring we all have a good time.
